Teaquilts

Welcome to my place on the web. I enjoy quilting and have been doing so since 1994, and I tend to quilt almost every day. I hope you enjoy my virtual quilt show as I share some of my projects with you. |

What's New: New items are written in red like this, "NEW". Check the following pages for new quilts or updated photos in the past three months:
I now have a blog at http://teaquilts.blogspot.com/ . Please stop by and see what I'm doing. I plan to start placing some free blocks, maybe perhaps a mystery quilt with them. Come back soon for the first block.
See new round robins stated in July 2008 with members of Teas Snowman Swap Group. I'll add photos of my center along with photos of borders that I add. I updated my round robin link from the header page from Round Robin to Round Robin Quilts List. This was done as I realized I had more round robin quilts scattered throughout the website. The link now takes you to a listing of all round robin quilts that are on the site that may have been overlooked before.
Embroidered Baskets - This is my first attempt at hand embroidering. The basket includes very basic stitches so that even my being left handed did not prevent me making them. Sometimes being left handed is a nuisance when trying embroidery stitches. Added new blocks.
New items have been added to Machine Embroidery Items. I have also created a new lecture titled, "Machine Embroidery in Quilt Making." The lecture will give tips for incorporating machine embroidery designs not only in clothing, pillows, and other traditional items, but encouraging the use in quilts as well.
I have uploaded a lot more photos of quilts I've made a few Halloween quilts, one for the bed and two wall hangers. I have been working on Halloween items sincee November 2007 and I am READY for Halloween 2008! Go to 2008 Quilts to see them; remember that a lot of my other 2008 quilts are listed under Machine Embroidery Items.
You'll want to see my Show And Tell Quilt Carrier!
I quilted a quilt top for my guild. The quilt will be donated to a local charitable organization.
Two challenge quilts for 2008 have been added to Challenges Page 2.
Gail Branner completed her Confetti quilt pattern. You can see photos in the confetti quilt gallery.
Sorry, but the Confetti quilt pattern is no longer available for free. I performed two lectures in May 2007 and decided to sell the pattern. My friends have been strongly encouraging me to write a book, and this is my start. It happened rather quickly so I apologize for not giving advance notice that the pattern would no longer be free. I have developed a scrap quilt pattern with tips for organizing, cutting and using scraps and the Confetti pattern is part of this package. The pattern also includes three more scrap patterns. The pattern is on sale for $12.00 (regularly 16.00) until I decide whether to submit it for book publication. Handling and postage cost of $3 will also be added for 1st class mail. If you are interested in purchasing the pattern, email me for details. If you purchased the pattern at the two lectures I held in May, I have a few corrections.

My current quilt interests are: Machine Embroidery Items - My new love as of October 2007 is machine embroidery. That topic lead into one giant challenge of how to machine embroidery, what to embroider on (types of fabrics and stabilizers) as well as when to quilt and how to quilt. I'm having so much fun!
Scrap quilts - I have been frantically cutting my scraps into various size squares and use them to make scrap quilts.
Stack-n-whack quilts - I have started (some are WIPs) twelve of these quilts and have stash fabrics to make at least 15-20 more.
Block swaps - I participated in a snowman block swap and liked it so well that I started my own group. See "Links" page.
Hand appliqué - Took a class in January 2002 and have been addicted every since.
My other interests: Other than quilting, I like quilting (smile.) I love to roller skate and I bowl in a bowling league with my husband. I bowled a 300 (perfect score) game August 2001. Wow, I was beside myself. I also love to read and spend time with friends and family. |
